Ash Wednesday, Good Friday: Fasting

Just a reminder: Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of fast and abstinence.

Abstinence: Abstinence means one full meal, no meat and no snacks between meals. All Catholics between the ages of 21 and 59 are required to fast.

No Meat: The Fridays of Lent are days of abstinence. This means no meat for those 14 and older. During this season of Lent, in a positive way, Catholics join, as a unified body, to offer this small sacrifice for the good of God's Kingdom.
