Thank You to CCD, RCIA Volunteers

The Saint Michael Religious Education Department would like to thank the following instructors/presenters and others who tirelessly volunteered their time for another successful  year of Wednesday night Religious Education (CCD) classes as well as Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults and Children’s Catechumenate sessions. They are, as follows:

Children’s Catechumenate:    Alice Ruiz, presenter .

Religious Education (CCD): Monica Figueroa, kindergarten instructor; Carol Buchanan, first grade instructor; Monica Renteria, first grade teacher’s assistant; Kelsey Verhaeghe, first grade teacher’s assistant; Eileen Feece, second grade instructor; Elizabeth Polstra, second grade teacher’s assistant; Carolina Figueroa, second grade instructor; Alejandra Renteria, second grade teacher’s assistant;  Brenda Herrera, third grade instructor; Donna Warren, fourth grade instructor; Dwight Noble, fifth grade instructor; Maria Figueroa, sixth grade instructor; Alma Salgado, seventh grade instructor; Celeste Salgado, seventh grade teacher’s assistant; Cassie Feece, eighth grade instructor; Chastity Keller, eighth grade instructor; Barb Wiscons, secretary; and Sue Iwinski, substitute instructor.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA): Presenters: Joella Carll, Donna Chaney, Joni Corsbie, Lilly Mansfield, Peg Salkay and Mark and Jannie Zehner.

Thank all of you for stepping forward--many of you for the first time--and for sacrificing your personal time week after week to share our precious Catholic faith with our children and those who, through the Holy Spirit, were inspired to join our faith.

Thanks to you 169 students, grades K-8, will be closer to Christ and His Church, 82 have or will have made their First Holy Communion, 50 received the gift of the Holy Spirit through the Sacrament of Confirmation, and 10 adults and children became Catholic at the Easter Vigil through the waters of baptism.

May God richly bless each and everyone of you for your dedication and effort.
