Sunday Masses

We believe that we are ready to re-starting Mass on Sundays. The Bishop’s permission requires following a number of directives. We have done our best to prepare, but we need to continue to observe them. We need YOUR help and cooperation.
We are Catholic; we follow the norms that the Church and the bishop gives us. The rules are intended to create a safe environment so that we may gather to hear God’s Word and share the Body of Christ.
We will start slowly with three week-end Masses: Saturday, 5:00 p.m.; Sunday 9:30 a.m.; 2:00 p.m. (Spanish), on Sat. and Sun., May 23 and 24. We believe that we have the people needed to usher (welcome, direct) people and the Masses and do the cleaning and disinfecting after the Masses. We still could use more people to help for other Masses.
Please keep in mind these important principles:
1. Those who are sick, have symptoms, or have been exposed to the virus should not attend. Please stay home.
2. Those who are 65 years old or older or who are otherwise vulnerable should stay at home.
We hope to have livestreaming of our Masses online.
3. Space for seating is marked and is limited. It is set up so that people will be six feet apart from others. Those who live together may sit closer to one another.
4. Once seating has reached it safe limits, no one else may enter the church.
5. We expect to have space for overflow in the church basement and\or the school gymnasium.
6. Everyone who comes (except those who are under two years of age or have difficulty breathing) should be masked. This is not for their own protection, but for the protection of the others in church.
Please observe all of these guidelines. They are some of the things we were asked to do in order to have public Masses. If we cannot or will not follow them, we really should not have public Mass.
