Saint Michael Catholic Church holds religious education classes for public school students in grades K-8 on Wednesdays from 6-7 p.m. at Saint Michael Catholic School. First class is Wednesday, August 26. Classes are also available for First Communion and Confirmation preparation.
Registration Day is Wednesday, August 19, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the church basement and 5-7 p.m. in the school cafeteria.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION POLICIES AND PROCEDURES Arrival: When they arrive for class, students are required to go directly to the school cafeteria. Students are not permitted in any classrooms without an instructor. Cancellations: When class is canceled, announcements will be posted on the parish website. Announcements will also be sent to parents who supplied email addresses at the time of registration and, if available, by text message. In addition, when classes are canceled due to severe weather, an announcement will be scrolled across the bottom of the WNDU-TV screen.
Dismissal: In the interest of student safety, parents must enter the school to pick up their child/children at dismissal. The only exceptions are children who walk or ride a bike home
and have provided the main office with a note signed by their parents.
It is the responsibility of all parents to follow this policy,
regardless of the age of their child/children.
Grades 1-2 are dismissed from Door #3 on the school's south side, facing W. Madison Street. Grades 3-8 are dismissed from Door #9 on the school's north side, facing the parking lot, south of W. Monroe Street.
